Viduthalai – Part 1

The story revolves around Kumaresan, a new police recruit who is posted in a remote area where the police force is tasked with suppressing a terror outfit fighting against the government to save their land’s resources from being exploited. Caught in the middle of this conflict, Kumaresan struggles to uphold his duty as a police officer while grappling with the ethical implications of his actions.

Amidst the chaos, Kumaresan finds solace in a local girl, and their love blossoms. However, their relationship is put to the test when the police force arrests the girl and subjects her to brutal interrogation. Kumaresan, determined to save her, knocks on all the doors of his superiors and takes certain actions that lead to his being instrumental in arresting the leader of the terror outfit. And part one of the film ends here. 

Soori’s performance as the innocent police officer is a highlight of the movie, while Vijay Sethupathi’s screen presence is impactful. Goutham Vasudev Menon and Chetan shine in their roles as police officers, and lead actress Bhavani delivers a remarkable performance, showcasing a range of emotions with great skill.

Despite the raw violence depicted in the film, it is still a compelling watch, thanks to its engaging storyline, excellent performances, and thought-provoking themes.
