A book written by the top scientist, who worked at ISRO and was falsely accused of selling the Indian rocket secrets to Pakistan, which was later proved wrong, reveals the details and exposes the bigger international plot that delayed the development of India’s Cryogenic engine development plan by a decade.

While India tied up a cooperation agreement with Russia to develop its own cryogenic engines for its space program, USA fearing that it would impact their business interests, as India would be able to price per -kg- payload fixed for the GSLV to launch satellites into geosynchronous Orbit, 36,000 km from earth, half the price as compared to that quoted by USA vehicles, USA intelligence officials used some IB personnel in India to thwart, delay the India’s progress. IB people used the case a police inspector in Kerala registered against a Maldivian woman and fabricated a spy story around it, accusing the ISRO scientists.
This case was favorably used by a section of the Kerala Congress Party to unseat the then Chief Minister.
